Chhole Masala


Sambar is favourite item of South Indian Plate and a great accompainment with various south Indian dishes. Enjoy the traditional flavour of Sambar with Milan Sambar Powder


Before you begin: 150gm Toor Dal, 2 chopped Onions, 2 chopped Tomatoes, 2-3 silt Green Chillies, Salt to taste, 3tbsp thick Tamarind juice, 1/2 Litre Water and a few coriander leaves for garnishing, 3 tbsp MILAN SAMBAR POWDER. FOR BAGHAR: 3tbsp Oil, 1/2 tbsp Musturd Seeds, 1/2 tbsp Jeera, 1/2 tbsp Urad Dal, 1/2 tbsp Milan Chilly Powder, whole Red Chillies, A few Curry Leaves and a pinch of Milan Asafoetida

Soak the Dal for 30 Minutes. Boil the Dal  with a Pinch of Turmeric Powder. For Baghar, Heat 3tbsp Oil in Kadhai with Musturd Seeds, Jeera Asafoetida, Red Chilli Powder, Tamarind juice and salt to taste. Add 1/2 Liter water. Simmers for 5-10 Minutes. Garnish with Coriander Leaves. Serve Hot.
